Intro to Yoga Classes

Join us for an enriching four-class series designed to help you build strength, balance, and body awareness. Each session begins with a centering meditation, inspired by teachings from ancient wisdom texts, to cultivate focus and inner connection.

This series is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to deepen their understanding of yoga’s foundational principles. Over the course of our sessions, you’ll develop the skills and confidence to create a sustainable and mindful practice. No prior experience is necessary—all levels are welcome. Simply bring an open mind and take the first step on your yoga journey.

All classes take place in serene local park settings, allowing students to connect with the natural elements and enhance their practice.

Classes Included in This Series

Class 1: Asana ScrambleStep onto your mat and into the playful world of asana’s (poses) —a class where alignment meets ease, breath fuels movement, and laughter is just as important as the pose itself! Learn the basics with a fun twist! 

Class 2: Unfold and Flow – We’ll explore essential yoga asanas, delving into the anatomy and alignment principles that support safe and effective practice. You’ll learn how individual asanas come together to create a seamless flow, gradually building up to a complete sequence by the end of the session.

Class 3: 5 Elements Meditation – Dive deeper into meditation practices, exploring the 5 elements that will quiet the mind, develop focus, and cultivate mindfulness. This session integrates simple breathwork and visualization methods to enhance your meditation experience.

Class 4: Balance and Stabilization – Focus on asanas that enhance physical balance and core stabilization. Learn tips to improve alignment and build strength while maintaining steadiness on and off the mat.

This series offers a supportive and enriching environment to deepen your practice and understanding of yoga.

All classes with High Horizons Adventures take place outdoors. Please be aware that we have no control over environmental conditions.

We strongly recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and bringing the following essentials:

  • Sunglasses
  • Bug spray
  • Water bottle 

 

Yoga Equipment Rental: Yoga equipment is available for rent, including:

  • Yoga mat
  • Two blocks
  • Strap
